HCP-10 Balanced Cage Single-Seat Control Valve
This valve features high-performance seal rings on the plug or cage. The compact body incorporates a guide vane that enhances balanced flow around the cage, contributing to reduced pressure drop, high flow capacity, wide rangeability, and accurate flow characteristics in accordance with IEC 60534-2-1 (2011). The control valve is designed for dynamic stability, low noise, and reduced cavitation erosion. Leakage performance conforms to ANSI/FCI 70-2 (2013).

Features & Benefits
Pressure-Balanced Design with Reduced Actuator Thrust
The valve plug features a pressure-balanced structure with composite seal rings or piston rings. Unbalanced forces caused by differential pressure across the valve are substantially offset, requiring significantly less actuator thrust compared to unbalanced single-seat valves under equivalent conditions. This allows for smaller actuators, enabling more compact and lightweight valve assemblies.
Dynamic Stability, Low Noise, and Cavitation Erosion Resistance
The valve plug is guided within the cage, allowing for substantial contact area and minimizing plug oscillation. The cage incorporates a guide vane that promotes balanced flow, combined with an S-shaped streamlined passage, to reduce fluid noise and cavitation erosion. The valve is well suited for high differential pressure applications and conditions prone to flashing and cavitation.
Wide Temperature Range Adaptability with Broad Operating Conditions Coverage
By using different bonnet types, the valve can accommodate an extensive temperature range, making it suitable for various process lines from cryogenic to high-temperature applications.
High Sealing Integrity with Low Leakage
Metal seats achieve ANSI B16.104 Class V leakage rates; soft seats (PTFE) meet ANSI B16.104 Class VI. High-performance seal rings on the valve plug or cage effectively enhance sealing performance, meeting stringent environmental and safety production requirements.
Modular Design for Convenient Maintenance
Trim components such as the cage and valve plug feature modular design for individual removal and replacement. The same valve body can accommodate cages with different flow characteristics (equal percentage or linear) without replacing the entire valve. The seat uses a snap-in structure for easy installation and removal, enabling straightforward extraction even under severe corrosion conditions. This facilitates online repair and maintenance, reducing labor and downtime.
