RFC Metal Tube Rotameter
The RFC Series Metal Tube Rotameter features a robust all-metal tapered tube construction. Float displacement is transmitted to the indicator via magnetic coupling, providing local pointer indication of instantaneous flow rate. Remote output options include 4–20 mA, HART, and FF, making the instrument suitable for process control in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, and pharmaceutical applications.

Features & Benefits
Excellent Micro-Flow Performance
The metal tube variable area flowmeter is purpose-built for low-velocity, small-flow applications. On the DN15 size, the lower measurable flow rate for water starts as low as 10 L/h—a range where magnetic and vortex meters cannot operate. It is the cost-effective choice for chemical dosing, solvent blending, and low-capacity gas measurement.
Dual Indication, Field and Control Room Combined
The dial pairs a mechanical aluminum pointer with a backlit LCD screen for simultaneous indication of instantaneous and totalized flow during on-site inspection. Remote outputs include 4–20 mA, HART, RS485, Profibus-PA, and FF, seamlessly integrating with DCS systems. The mechanical pointer remains visible even without external power.
Full Temperature and Pressure Coverage
Standard versions cover –20 °C to 100 °C, high-temperature versions up to 450 °C (400 °C in explosion-proof variants), and cryogenic versions down to –80 °C, with pressure ratings up to 32 MPa. A heat-jacketed version is available to prevent solidification or crystallization of process media, suitable for steam or thermal oil tracing services.
Wide Material Selection for Corrosive Service
Wetted parts are available in 304, 316L stainless steel, or fully PTFE/PFA-lined construction to handle hydrochloric acid, hypochlorite, organic solvents, and other aggressive fluids. Flanged, threaded, clamped, and jacketed connections meet diverse disassembly and sealing requirements
Stable and Reliable, Full Explosion-Proof Certification
A uniform magnetic field and multi-stage metering tube deliver better scale linearity; a magnetic damping system suppresses pointer flutter, while a geomagnetic compensation circuit eliminates stray magnetic interference. The full range is certified to Ex db flameproof, Ex ia intrinsic safety, and dust-ignition-proof standards. With no wearing parts, long-term maintenance is minimal.
